On this 80th anniversary of Orson Welles classic "The War of the Worlds" radio broadcast, I remember that 30 years ago I was on a business trip to New York City and listened to a 50th anniversary rebroadcast. I was staying in a hotel close to LaGuardia that was clearly in the path of the black smoke described in the drama. Very weird feeling to listen to imaginary destruction of where I was. #thewaroftheworlds #waroftheworlds #orsonwelles #mercurytheatre #mercurytheatreontheair
