Louisa - Principal's Award Nominee

Louisa was nominated for the Principal's Award for Best all round in character, academics, attendance, behavior, leadership, and citizenship. There were only four nominees in the school (another child won, though)

Louisa's friend Joylyn won a Social Studies award.

Hank Aaron - 715th Home Run Memorial

History happened here. Click on the picture for a MUCH better look.
On May 10th I had a chance to go to only the second Major League Baseball game I have ever seen. (The first was to the old Comiskey Park in 1990).
I made it a point to visit the spot where Hank Aaron hit his record breaking 715th Home Run. The site of the old Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium is now a parking lot of the Atlanta Braves Turner Field.
The layout of the original baseball diamond is outlined in bricks in the parking lot. The part of the wall that the famous home run went over is preserved. The blue walls are the base of the original stadium (which was imploded after the 1996 Olympics)
