When I was 14, my Dad conned me into taking the Materhorn ride. In 1966, the "rocks" you rode in where little more than plastic bathtubs inside - no chairs, no belts, no bars! Only gravity to hold you in.
I rode with my little brother with my Dad in the car behind us, shouting, "We're all gonna die!" I imagine the car I was in was retired with the fingerprints I left behind holding on so hard. Thought I would be launched into space a couple of times!
